Green has always been my favorite color. The green "20's" dress pictured here was my second attempt to reconstruct clothing of the period. Most who see it up close mistake it for vintage, although it is simply a beaded slip! There was no inspiration for this dress other than some period embroidery patterns passed down to me by a relative who thought I might find them interesting. I worked it a row at a time from the bottom up, adding fringe whenever the mood struck me. It was constructed entirely with free-form handwork and several pounds of beads. Total weight is probably between 3 - 5 pounds.
